Buried in a jungly green valley filled with citrus and medlar groves, the water alternates between cascades and pools running between river banks covered with bougainvillea in summer. Starting at the lowest and most spectacular waterfall, you can climb up alongside the river for around 25 minutes until it becomes a mountain stream and then wade on up to the top. Bath in its various pools and waterfalls. Do not forget your swimming costumes!
About an hours drive from Alicante, head towards Benidorm on the E15/AP7 take exit 65A Poniente Benidorm then follow the signs Finestrat and La Nucia. At the roundabout take La Nucia exit and at the roundabout takethe local road and pass through La Nucia and Polop. In Polop, at the roundabout head towards Callosa. In Callosa, at the roundabout take 2nd exit and follow the road for about 2km. Fonts Del Algar - Algar Waterfalls Algar Waterfalls is 15km from Benidorm and just 3km from the centre of Callosa, and was declared a Wetland protected by the Valencian Government. In addition there is a Tourist Office, parking, toilets, souvenir shop, picnic area and a first aid centre.

Seniors and Students = 4 Euros
Children aged 4 - 10 = 2 Euros (Under 4 go for free)
The picnic area which has approx 16 picnic tables, with a capacity for 150 people, also has vending machines for drinks and snacks. But if you fancy dining out, then there are several good restaurants in the town just outside the Fonts Del Algar entrance - all serving both Spanish and international food, at least two also have swimming pools as well!
